some photos before 1966--part I

左營 林會 公(TLF 1321100) 生於清光緒16年(庚寅年) 公元1890年 月 日 於1966年2月11日 (丙午年正月二十二日)去世 這是 他留下的唯一一張照片 好像是為了辦身份證用的 那個時代 拍照是很奢侈的玩意兒 我正是高雄中學高三寒假 Mr. Huei Lin, my memory's only one ancient,my grandpa, was born at 1890,and passed away at Feb.11 1966(lunar Jan.22). The photo is the only one could be traced--probably is for indentified card. On that time, the photography is an expensive event, and I am at winer acation as third class of Kaohsiung Senior High School
1966年 林會 公去世後 為了籌辦喪事 也費了很大的精神 首先 棺木要八人抬到後勁公墓 用走的--那個時代的風俗--,棺木罩 要用紙糊的厝 圍以親友弔唁的布匹--顯示隆重 The funeral is so complicated.The coffin is held by eight workers moving from Tsoying to cementary at Hou-Jin, some about 10 kilometers, by walking. The skirts of coffin is surrounding by cloths sent from the affectionates and covered by paper-cover in marvelous--fashion.

大孫 要坐大孫轎 也是被抬到墓地--坐在裡邊 晃來晃去 真的很難受 又不能亂發脾氣 說不就不 .....那個時代 少爺不值錢 我也不是啥少爺 The first grandson should ride in a sedan as "First Grandson Sedan". It is very hard to ride inside the sedan because it is shaking to and fro when walking

那個時代 還有鐵牛車(就是農用搬運車) 三輪汽車 人力三輪車(裡面坐的是道士) There are three-wheel car, farmer's truck,man-three wheel bike
